Preface

The H3C S5500-SI/EI documentation set includes 10 command references, which describe the commands and command syntax options for the S5500-SI and S5500-EI series Ethernet switches, Release2208.

The Layer 2 – LAN Switching Command Reference describes LAN switching configuration commands. It covers commands for implementing flow control and load balancing, isolating users in the same VLAN, eliminating Layer 2 loops, dividing VLANs, transmitting customer network frames through the public network, and modifying VLAN tags of packets.

This documentation is intended for:

Added and modified commands

Compared to Release2202, Release2208 adds, modifies, and deletes the following commands:

·       display counters rate

·       flow-control receive enable

·       link-delay mode up

·       port auto-power-down

·       port link-mode (available only on the S5500-EI)

·       loopback-detection action

·       loopback-detection multi-port-mode enable

·       port bridge enable

·       mtu (available only on the S5500-EI)

Modified commands:

·       display brief interface is changed into display interface brief

Loopback and null interface configuration commands

Added commands: reset counters interface null

Modified commands: reset counters interface is changed into reset counters interface loopback

MAC address table configuration commands

MAC Information configuration commands

Ethernet link aggregation configuration commands

·       display interface bridge-aggregation

·       lacp period short

·       link-aggregation lacp traffic-redirect-notification enable

Added commands: display stp bpdu-statistics

VLAN configuration commands

Added commands:

·       mac-vlan trigger enable

Super VLAN configuration commands (available only on the S5500-EI)

Isolate-user-VLAN configuration commands

·       isolated-vlan enable

·       port isolate-user-vlan

Voice VLAN configuration commands

Added commands:

·       voice vlan qos

·       voice vlan qos trust

GVRP configuration commands

QinQ configuration commands

Added commands: qinq transparent-vlan

VLAN mapping configuration commands (available only on the S5500-EI)

LLDP configuration commands

Some LLDP configuration commands can be configured in Layer 3 Ethernet interface view (available only on the S5500-EI)

Service loopback group configuration commands (available only on the S5500-EI)

Boldface

Bold text represents commands and keywords that you enter literally as shown.

Italic

Italic text represents arguments that you replace with actual values.

[ ]

Square brackets enclose syntax choices (keywords or arguments) that are optional.

{ x | y | ... }

Braces enclose a set of required syntax choices separated by vertical bars, from which you select one.

[ x | y | ... ]

Square brackets enclose a set of optional syntax choices separated by vertical bars, from which you select one or none.

{ x | y | ... } *

Asterisk marked braces enclose a set of required syntax choices separated by vertical bars, from which you select at least one.

[ x | y | ... ] *

Asterisk marked square brackets enclose optional syntax choices separated by vertical bars, from which you may select multiple choices or none.

&<1-n>

The argument or keyword and argument combination before the ampersand (&) sign can be entered 1 to n times.

A line that starts with a pound (#) sign is comments.

Boldface

Window names, button names, field names, and menu items are in Boldface. For example, the New User window appears; click OK.

Multi-level menus are separated by angle brackets. For example, File > Create > Folder.
